Sound of Joy Music Productions Limited is a team of Jamaican musicians, led by director Joy Simons Brown, committed to the highest quality service by providing inspiration through the best in live entertainment and by offering expert guidance and technical support in music projects. 

The company continues to serve corporate and private clients with a variety of musical tastes. Experience Sound of Joy on stage at your cocktail party, luncheon, banquet, graduation, family reunion, wedding ceremony or reception. Enjoy a wide repertoire of live music at a hotel, a large banquet hall, a small room, a garden or other outdoor setting. We come fully equipped to provide entertainment that will take the event to the highest level. Our reputation for reliability speaks for itself, as most of our business every year is requested by existing clients.

  Joy Simons Brown is trained in:




 Piano, Clarinet by the Royal School of Music, London

 Organ, Dance by Edna Manley College, Kingston 

 Jazz piano techniques by Maurice Gordon

 Afro Cuban music with Sara McGuiness and the Sierra Maestra band in Cuba

 Choral performance by Noel Dexter, Duke Ellington Choir led by Professor Bonds

 Music entrepreneurship, music production by Berklee  Music College.

She is certified Specialist in Arranging  by Berklee Music College


 She was formerly:

 Musical director and tutor of the ensemble of the University of Technology Jamaica

 Musical Director of Cari-Med Singers and Scotia Singers

 Assistant tutor to the brass, woodwind, percussion students of Alpha Boys' School

 She is now :

 Musical director and accompanist for the Guardian life Singers

 Musical director of recording artistes CANTANDO

 Jamaica 50th :  Director of Grand Gala mass choir

  Judge :                ALL TOGETHER SING  seasons 2013-2016, Television Jamaica 


Cliff Bond 

International musician.

Plays drums, guitar, and keyboards for local and international  events.

When not on tour overseas, he operates as logistics coordinator of Sound of Joy at larger functions.

Nicholas Laraque,


Studied at the Edna Manley College and  the Kneller Hall Royal School of Music in London.


Virtuoso on flute,saxophones and clarinet. 


Performs at classical recitals and is great on jazz,blues, reggae and Jamaican and Latin American styles.


Has performed at major events in Europe, North America as a band member or as an accompanied soloist.



Warren Harris 


Expert saxophone player who performs, occasionally, with Sound of Joy


Music entrepreneur who provides audio support for musical events


Teaches drums and saxophone , freelances and shares his skills with several bands.
